John Parker (1829-1877)
John Parker was born March 22, 1829 to Peter Parker (1794-1858) and Elizabeth Taylor (1795-1838) in Burnley, Lancashire, England. Burnley is a village located to the east of Accrington making. He arrived in the USA in 1848 at the age of 19 along with his sister Winifred Parker and her husband William Fish.
His occupation was Stone Cutter.
He married Martha Cryer (alternate: Cranshaw) on July 4, 1851. Martha was born in October 1829 in Lancashire, England. Not reported when or how she arrived in the USA.
John and Martha lived in Gambier and had seven children:

John died February 10, 1877 at age 47 of consumption and is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Gambier, Ohio. Martha died July 9, 1886 at age 56 and is buried with her husband.
