Friends of the Quarry Chapel is holding a public concert Sunday, September 10th at 3:00pm. This concert is featuring If Ernest Tubb Could Sing.
IETCS is a three-member group inspired by the many streams of America’s rich musical traditions. Their repertoire spans classic country, rockabilly, early pop standards, contemporary singer-songwriter ballads, and Appalachian old-time stringband music. With musical roots in Ohio and Texas, the members have performed on college campuses and other venues throughout Ohio and beyond. Howard Sacks and David Suggs play guitar, Judy Sacks is on mandolin, and everybody sings.
The group’s name is a fond tribute to Ernest Tubb, country superstar of the mid-twentieth century.
Bring a lawn chair in the event that you cannot find seating in the chapel. This concert is free and open to the public with doors opening at 2:30.

The Quarry Chapel is a community asset and our Board members want to see it utilized. We have had a very positive response to our monthly concert series over the summer. We currently have six weddings scheduled for next summer. We are open to suggestions from the community as to how we can accomplish this goal.

We now offer weddings twelve months of the year. The first winter wedding took place on a cold day in January 2013. Patio heaters were rented and installed in the chapel. It was quite toasty. Everyone shed their coats. The bride was in a sleeveless wedding gown.
